Condition of the route on the Way of St JamesThe last 1000 km of the classic Way of St James is very well signposted - so well, in fact, that one hardly needs to bring a pilgrim guide. The condition of the route itself is also generally very good. In most cases, dangerous or busy roads are bordered by foot and cycle paths for pilgrims. We would also be grateful for any additional information on the above.
Accommodation on The Way of St JamesThe route offers a variety of accommodation along the last 1000 km. In general, we found accommodation in hostels which were more than acceptable in standard. In our experience, the best of these were either privately owned, or run by church organizations.
Many council hostels were of a lower standard. Visitors are especially encouraged to post info on hostels in this section. Future pilgrims will be most grateful!
Will I find a place to sleep every day?
